King of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1 [Neutral Milk Hotel Cover] - Benton Oglesby

So my future sisters-in-law have this band. They bought a Blue Yeti USB microphone to record some of their original songs on Garage Band. They asked me if I wanted to test it out. I had been wanting to record this Neutral Milk Hotel cover for a while but I wanted a decent mic to record it.

The song itself is pretty simple: three chords, a basic melody line and a small harmony part towards the end. I double tracked my vocals and the harmony. I used Garage Band software instruments for the accordion bit. Garage Band doesn’t actually have an accordion sound so I used Cathedral Organ for the chords and Trumpet Section as a substitute. For the zanzithophone part, I used Arena Run.
